25 de Agosto Montevideo (Liga Femenina) agreed terms with 18-year old swingman Catalina Pereira (176cm-2004). Pereira played last summer at Atletico Aguada. In 10 Liga Femenina games she had just 2.5ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.1spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final.
Pereira represented Uruguay at the FIBA U18 South American Championship for Women in Buenos Aires (Argentina) last year. Pereira's team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 5 games: 0.6ppg, 2.0rpg.
