Brown number one in Uruguayan Metropolitan for round 8 (by Hoops Agents)

American Shooting guard Rakim Brown (198-SG-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sayago, receiving a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Capitol (#7, 11-11) 81-79. Sayago is placed at 5th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. Sayago is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 10th lost game this season out of 22 games. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Sayago's top player in his first season with the team. Former Humboldt State University star has very solid stats this year. Brown is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.3ppg. Brown is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.2spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Diego Garcia (186-G-1992) of league's leader Urunday. Garcia had a very good evening with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. He was another key player of Sayago, helping his team with a 81-79 win against slightly lower-ranked Capitol (#7, 11-11). Sayago needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 10 lost games. de Leon has a very solid season. In 21 games in Uruguay he scored 5.7ppg.
