Nacional smashed L.Borges in Montevideo 95-67. Nacional outrebounded L.Borges 52-28 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nacional looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Sebastian Ottonello (200) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) helped adding 12 points and 12 rebounds. Nacional's coach Alvaro Ponce felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Justin Moss (201-1993, college: Buffalo) with 19 points and 8 rebounds. L.Borges will play next round against Goes trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo - Goes. Nacional will try to continue on its current victory against Malvin. It will be extra interesting game as Malvin is their local rival from Montevideo.
Defensor (2-1) recorded a loss in Montevideo. Visitors were defeated by Hebraica (2-1) 70-64. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Italian forward Juan Ducasse (208-1998, college: Santa Clara) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Jordan Williams accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). American guard Malik Curry (184-1999, college: WVU) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds for Defensor in the defeat. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Trouville.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Aguada (#5) and Trouville (#6). Aguada (2-1) won against visiting Trouville (1-2) 81-69. The best player for the winners was Luis Santos who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Bernardo Barrera who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aguada's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Cordon.

In the last two games of round 3 Cordon won against Goes on the opponent's court 84-75. Malvin unfortunately lost to Bigua in a home game 73-84.

Goes - Cordon 75-84

But Goes were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Montevideo 84-75 on Friday night. Cordon dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Goes' 32. The best player for the winners was American power forward Chaz Crawford (208-1984, college: Drexel) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import MikeL Simms (196-1997, college: VCU) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Cordon players scored in double figures.
