Donald Sims gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB

Experienced American Donald Sims (190-SG-1987, agency: Pensack Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Atletico Aguada Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 36-year old shooting guard had the game-high 35 points adding three rebounds and four assists for Aguada in his team's victory, helping them to crush Bigua (#6, 10-12) with 22-point margin 107-85. Aguada is placed at 2nd position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. In the team's last game Sims had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. Appalachian State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sims is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.5ppg. Sims is in league's top in and averages solid 62.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. forward Miguel Simon (203-F-1994, agency: BMS Sport Agency) of Urupan de Pando. Simon impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Urupan was edged by the higher-ranked Hebraica (#5, 13-8) 93-90. Urupan is still second from the bottom in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Urupan managed to get this year. Simon is a newcomer at Urupan and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Zach Graham (198-SG-1989, agency: Pro Sports) of Club Trouville Montevideo (#9). Graham scored 28 points. He was a key player of Trouville, leading his team to a 90-84 win against the lower-ranked L.Borges (#12, 3-19). The chances of Trouville not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Graham could try to bring Trouville's a little bit higher in the standings. The season just started for Graham as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
