Brown number one in Uruguayan Metropolitan for round 12 (by Hoops Agents)

American Power forward Tirrell Brown (198-PF-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for Atletico Tabare, receiving a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Sayago (5-7) with 24-point margin 89-65. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Tabare moved-up to the 12th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. Tabare is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-7 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Tabare, through which he has constantly improved. Former Ouachita Baptist University star has very solid stats this year. Brown is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.5ppg. Brown is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.5rpg) and averages impressive 59.0% FGP and 43.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Argentinian Agustin Zuvich (201-F/C-1995) of Larranaga Montevideo. Zuvich had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Larranaga was edged by the higher-ranked Olimpia (#1, 9-2) 87-84. Despite lost game Larranaga moved up to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Zuvich is one of the most experienced players at Larranaga and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.6ppg (#4). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Randy Rickards (201-F-2000) of Verdirrojo Montevideo (#13). Rickards showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Rickards' great performance the Verdirrojo lost 76-107 to the higher-ranked Goes (#5, 7-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Verdirrojo can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Rickards has individually a great season in Uruguay. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 14.5rpg (#1 in league).
