Lagomar was edged by Sayago in a tough game in Sayago 66-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lagomar. Sayago forced 19 Lagomar turnovers. Strangely Lagomar outrebounded Sayago 42-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Nicolas Lema (-2005) helped adding 18 points. Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Lagomar's coach Alejandro Muro tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sayago moved-up to twelfth place. Lagomar at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Larranaga.
Bottom-ranked O.Mundial managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they outleveled fourteenth-ranked Verdirrojo in Montevideo 102-65. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 37-point difference proves that O.Mundial was well-prepared to that game. Metropolitan top team - Olimpia (17-4) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat seventh ranked Tabare (11-11) 92-79. The best player for the winners was DNicolas Delgado who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tirrell Brown produced 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the hosts. Tabare's coach Nico Scarabino let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Olimpia maintains first place with 17-4 record. Loser Tabare dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost.
There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 23: U.Atletica won against Colon on the opponent's court 87-76. Goes managed to outperform L.Borges in a home game 94-76. Bohemios recorded a loss to Larranaga on the road 92-82. Montevideo was defeated by Stockolmo on its own court 73-81.
