Zekovic number one in Uruguay LUB for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Serbian Power forward Dragan Zekovic (209-PF-1987, agency: 011 Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for Malvin Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 37-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Aguada (#2, 18-5) 90-85. Malvin maintains the 4th position in their group in the Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Malvin will need more victories to improve their 15-8 record. In the team's last game Zekovic had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Malvin's top player in his first season with the team.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Gary Ricks (185-G-1991) of Club Trouville Montevideo. Ricks had a very good evening with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Trouville lost that game 79-85 to Urupan (9-15). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Ricks is a newcomer at Trouville, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Facundo Medina (190-SG-1994) of Urupan de Pando (#3). Medina scored 26 points and passed 5 assists. He was a key player of Urupan, leading his team to a 85-79 win against Trouville (#6, 4-20). The chances of Urupan not to end season at such low position in Losers Stage, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Medina could try to bring Urupan's a little bit higher in the standings. Medina has a very solid season. In 24 games in Uruguay he scored 10.9ppg.
