Egidijus Mockevicius (ex Taiwan Beer L.) agreed terms with Aguada

Egidijus Mockevicius

Atletico Aguada Montevideo (LUB) signed 33-year-old Lithuanian ex-international 208cm center Egidijus Mockevicius (college: Evansville) for the upcoming season. He was the top rebounder for Taiwan Beer Leopards in the Taiwanese TPBL last season, averaging 11.8ppg, 13.8rpg, and 1.1bpg in 20 games. During the previous (2024) summer, he was tested by El Calor de Cancun (LNBP) in the Mexican league.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Mockevicius was also a member of the Lithuanian international program for some years. He played for Lithuanian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2019 and previously for the Under 22 National Team back in 2015.
Mockevicius is a very experienced player. He has traveled the world during his pro career, playing in eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). Mockevicius has played professionally in France (Le Mans and Provence Basket), Italy (Pesaro), Mexico, Romania (Constanta), Spain (Fuenlabrada), Lithuania (Rytas and Wolves), and NBA G League (Long Island Nets).
In 2023, his team reached the Romanian Cup Final Four. He won the All-MVC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2016.
Mockevicius graduated from the University of Evansville in 2016, and it will be his 10th season in pro basketball.
