Pomoli's 31-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old ITA-URUn swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-G/F-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Club Atletico Penarol Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 31 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Penarol in his team's victory, helping them to beat Defensor (#6, 5-4) 85-72. It allowed Penarol to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan league. Penarol have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game Pomoli had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Penarol's top player in his first season with the team. Nicola Pomoli averages this season 16.7ppg, 5.4rpg and 4.3apg.

Second best performed player last round was Earl Clark (208-PF-1988, agency: BIG) of Atletico Aguada Montevideo. He is American forward in his first season at Aguada. Despite Weaver's great performance the Defensor lost 72-85 to the higher-ranked Penarol (#1, 8-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Defensor needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Weaver has a very solid season. In 2 games in Uruguay he scored 19.5ppg.
