We bring you last week's top performances from Venezuelans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international center
Windi Graterol (204-1986, agency:
Pro Sports, currently plays in Argentina). He was the major contributor in
Olimpico's victory against the closely-ranked Quimsa (5-2)
85-70 in the Argentinian La Liga in Wednesday night's game.
Graterol had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds in 21 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda (3-4) is placed fourth in the La Liga.
This year Graterol averages: 8.3ppg, 8.0rpg, 2FGP: 55.6%(30-54), 3FGP: 47.1%(8-17) and FT: 62.5% in 12 games he played so far.

#2. Second place goes to former international center
Gregory Echenique (206-1990, agency:
Pensack Sports, college:
Creighton, currently plays in Japan). He could not help
Hiroshima Dragonflies (21-21) in their last game. Despite Echenique's very good performance the fifth-placed Hiroshima Dragonflies (21-21) lost
66-74 on the road to the second-ranked Alvark Tokyo in the West group.
He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Echenique also added 4 rebounds in 22 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was Hiroshima Dragonflies' fifth consecutive loss in a row.
Echenique has relatively good stats this year: 10.5ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 59.3%(159-268) and FT: 72.5% in 40 games.
He played for the Venezuelan national team in 19.
#3. The Venezuelan player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard
Gregory Vargas (181-1986, also represented by
Pro Sports, currently plays in Israel). Vargas managed to help Hapoel Next Urban Haifa to win against the tenth-ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (7-13) crushing them
80-53 in the Israeli Winner League in Saturday night's game.
He recorded 5 points and added 9 passes.
Hapoel Next Urban Haifa (11-9) is placed sixth in the Winner League.
Vargas' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This season Vargas has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 4.3rpg, 6.0apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 42.7%, 3FGP: 38.3% and FT: 78.4%.

#4. Center
Sergio Mijares (1997, currently plays in Chile) was not able to help
Espanol de Talca (1-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Espanol de Talca lost
76-80 in San Fernando to the lower-ranked (#11) Tinguiririca.
Mijares was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 32 minutes.
It was Espanol de Talca's fifth consecutive loss in a row.
Mijares has reliable stats this year: 10.2ppg, 6.5rpg and 2.6apg in 13 games.

#5. Former international swingman
Jhornan Zamora (196-1989, currently plays in France) led
Saint-Quentin to a victory against the closely-ranked Chalon/Saor (17-8)

Zamora recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball (5-2) is placed third in the ProB.

78-69 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Carrera scored 17 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 38 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. ICG Forca Lleida (18-7) is placed third in the LEB Gold.
Carrera has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.7ppg, 7.8rpg and 2.3apg in 26 games.

#7. Former international center
Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, another player represented by
Pro Sports, college:
Campbellsville, currently plays in Uruguay) was not able to secure a victory for
Goes (18-10) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance his team was edged
72-69 in a derby game by the much lower-ranked O.Mundial (#12).
Colmenares was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 6 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 3 balls.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Colmenares averaged so far 12.5ppg, 11.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.4spg.

#8. Swingman
Pedro Chourio (186-1990, another player represented by
Pro Sports, currently plays in Argentina) is a teammate of previously mentioned Windi Graterol. But that was another game of his team in Argentinian La Liga which we would like to mention.
Chourio couldn't help
Olimpico (3-4) in their last game. Despite his good performance Olimpico lost
71-81 in Santiado del Estero to the second-ranked Quimsa.
Chourio scored 10 points in 26 minutes.

Luis Valera (202-1988, college:

Valera was the best player in that game. He recorded 19 points.

#3. Jose Sosa (203-PF-1998, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in
Lliria's victory against the sixth-ranked Esportiu (2-7) crushing them
