Pioneros were defeated by Trotamundos on the road 77-64. Trotamundos outrebounded Pioneros 49-30 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Dallas Morgan (185-1998, college: CMU) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Dominican-American forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds. Pioneros' coach Nelson Solorzano rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Trotamundos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Marinos and Pioneros.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Caracas, where higher ranked Cocodrilos (12-12) lost at home to tenth ranked Guaiqueries (11-11) 78-82. It was a good game for the former international forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Pedro Chourio contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Willie Reed (211-1990, college: St.Louis, agency: Diamond Sports) replied with 9 points and 10 rebounds for Cocodrilos. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Guaiqueries moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Piratas. Cocodrilos at the other side keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Brillantes and Gladiadores.

Worth to mention a quality performance of Gregory Vargas who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Gladiadores' coach Ronald Guillen felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Tae Williams with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Gladiadores have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cocodrilos and Brillantes. Panteras lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost.
In the last game of round 36 Piratas were defeated by Marinos in Puerto La Cruz 84-80.
