Olimpico - San Lorenzo 79-76 Seventeenth-ranked San Lorenzo (10-20) gave a tough game to eleventh ranked Olimpico (15-18) in La Banda on Monday. Olimpico managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Olimpico forced 21 San Lorenzo turnovers. It was a great evening for guard David Perez (188-2000) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 4 assists. Ecuadorian forward Aaron Capurro (201-2000) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Juan Ramayo (185-2002) responded with 19 points and point guard Franco Actis (178-2001) scored 12 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olimpico maintains eleventh place with 15-18 record, which they share with Penarol. La Union outrebounded H.Americano 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. H.Americano was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Jose Campoya (195-2002) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. Swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four La Union players scored in double figures. Point guard Santiago Infante (182-2003) came up with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Andres Martinez (199-2003) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for H.Americano in the defeat. It was an exceptional evening for Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Thiago Dasso (185-2000) accounted for 8 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Forward Andres Martinez (199-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Santiago Infante (182-2003) added 15 points respectively for H.Americano in the defeat. H.Americano's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Penarol moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Olimpico. H.Americano lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games.
