LDD top team - Independ.O. (23-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed nineteenth ranked Gimnasia CR (4-21) in Olivia 107-72. Independ.O. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Gimnasia CR's 42. They outrebounded Gimnasia 58-32 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Jorge Garcia (200-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Ezequiel Horen helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. Independ.O.'s coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Jose Copesky (184-2006) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Independ.O. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 23-4 record. Gimnasia lost fifth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the nineteenth position with 21 games lost. Independ.O. are looking forward to face Union (#3) in Santa Fe in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gimnasia will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Zarate. Seventeenth ranked Zarate (6-18) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 19th ranked Gimnasia CR (4-21) 76-73 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Tomas Delia who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Gino Sciamanna accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds. Zarate's coach Daniel Acosta allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Valentino Ayala (190-2005) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds for Gimnasia in the defeat. Zarate maintains seventeenth place with 6-18 record. Gimnasia lost their fifth game in a row. Defending champion keeps the nineteenth position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
20th ranked Atenas (1-25) was outscored at home by third ranked Union (21-9) with the biggest margin this round 103-62 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was Agustin Ferrari who scored 21 points. Mateo Mondino produced 11 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Atenas' coach Walter Albert gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Union. They maintain third place with 21-9 record having just one point less than leader Independ.O. Atenas lost their twentieth game in a row. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Union will meet Instituto (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Atenas will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 35: bottom-ranked Atenas was destroyed by Instituto on the opponent's court 78-47. Riachuelo managed to outperform Obera in a home game 86-81. Platense rolled over La Union on the road 96-77. Quimsa was defeated by Obera on its own court 61-79. Platense beat San Martin in Florida 87-74. Penarol won against Boca Jrs. at home 86-72.

Instituto - Atenas 78-47

Very expected game in Cordoba where 20th ranked Atenas (1-25) was crushed by tenth ranked Instituto (12-10) 78-47 on Thursday. Instituto dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Atenas' 28. Instituto forced 35 Atenas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Atenas' players. The best player for the winners was Lucca Giuliani who scored 14 points and 4 steals. Bautista Corsi chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four Instituto players scored in double figures. Santiago Marconetti produced 10 points and 5 rebounds and Facundo Valfre added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests.
