Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game in Corrientes was quite interesting. 4th placed Independ.O. (12-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Regatas (13-4). Regatas managed to secure a 8-point victory 76-68 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Independ.O.. The best player for the winners was forward Francisco Ferraro (196-2004) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Viktor Bender (197-2006) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Ecuadorian forward Carlos Hurtado (212-2006) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the guests. Regatas moved-up to fourth place. Independ.O. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Regatas are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Olimpico (#19) in La Banda in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Independ.O. will play on the road against San Martin (#15) in Corrientes and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Santa Fe. Ninth ranked Gimnasia CR (9-9) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Union (6-10) 77-76 on Friday evening. Venezuelan center Jesus Centeno (205-2006) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds. Jose Copesky contributed with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Pablo Spies answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds for Union. Gimnasia maintains ninth place with 9-9 record. Union at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Quimsa. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Joaquin Capurro responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. San Martin moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Racing Ch. keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. San Martin will meet at home higher ranked Independ.O. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Racing Ch. will play against Penarol (#16) and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 23 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Racing Ch. was defeated by Regatas in Corrientes 86-75. Atenas smashed Olimpico at home 101-81. Platense won against Obera on the opponent's court 76-69. La Union managed to outperform Quimsa in a home game 88-76. Gimnasia was rolled over Obras on the road 90-68.

Regatas - Racing Ch. 86-75

There was no surprise in Corrientes where 11th ranked Racing Ch. (7-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Regatas (13-4) 86-75 on Friday. Regatas shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. It was a great evening for Viktor Bender (197-2006) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Exequiel Lezcano (180-2007) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Regatas' coach Diego Checenelli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Diego Tonarelli responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Tomas Delia produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Regatas moved-up to fourth place. Loser Racing Ch. keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Regatas will meet bottom-ranked Olimpico (#19) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Racing Ch. will play against Penarol (#16) and hope to secure a win.
