Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Corrientes between third ranked Regatas (15-9) and tenth ranked Penarol (13-12) on Saturday night. Regatas was crushed by Penarol at home 67-86. It was a good game for naturalized Dominican forward Xavier Carreras (198-1994) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. point guard Facundo Vazquez (185-1998) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Spanish-Colombian power forward Juan Tello-Palacios (206-1985) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for Regatas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Penarol maintains tenth position with 13-12 record, which they share with Boca Juniors. Regatas at the other side dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Obera. Penarol is looking forward to face Platense (#15) in Florida in the next round where they are favorite. Regatas will play at home against San Lorenzo (#16) and is hoping to win this game.

Worth to mention a great performance of American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and Leonardo Lema who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Quimsa have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Atenas. Quimsa will play against league's second-placed Ferro in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. San Lorenzo will play on the road against Regatas (#4) in Corrientes and hopes to get back on the winning track.

San Martin will meet higher ranked Obera (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Penarol will play against Platense (#15) and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 36: Instituto was beaten by Boca Juniors on the road 70-63. Union lost to Quimsa on its own court 74-88. Instituto outscored San Lorenzo in Cordoba 86-67. Boca Juniors managed to beat Platense at home 95-91. San Lorenzo was defeated by Ferro on the opponent's court 90-77.
The most impressive performance of 36th round was 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by Leonel Bettiga of Ferro.



Boca Juniors - Instituto 70-63

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Boca Juniors (13-12) beat 9th ranked Instituto (15-13) in Buenos Aires 70-63 on Thursday. The winners were led by the former international guard Santiago Scala (186-1991) who scored that evening 18 points and American guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by naturalized Italian Vicente Garello (203-1997, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Instituto. Guard Nicolas Copello (193-1992) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Boca Juniors have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Penarol. Instituto lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Boca Juniors' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Buenos Aires Obras.
