Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game between third ranked La Union (22-8) and fifth ranked Platense (19-8) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. La Union was defeated by Platense in Florida 74-90. Platense outrebounded La Union 41-23 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Giovanni Pappalardi who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Joaquin Goncalves contributed with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Paraguayan Hugo Paez (-2005, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for La Union. Platense have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 19-8 record. La Union at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Platense are looking forward to face San Lorenzo (#10) in Almagra in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. La Union will play at home against Independ.O. (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Olivia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Regatas (23-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Independ.O. (15-11). Regatas smashed Independ.O. 126-70. Alan Ledesma stepped up and scored 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Viktor Bender chipped in 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side point guard Maximo Benavidez (183-2007) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Independ.O.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Regatas. They keep a position of league leader. Independ.O. lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh place with 11 games lost. Regatas will play against league's second-placed Instituto in Cordoba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Independ.O. will play on the road against La Union (#3) in Formosa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Racing Ch. (13-15) and Penarol (11-17), which took place in Mar del Plata. Higher ranked Racing Ch. lost to fourteenth ranked Penarol in a road game 69-77 on Thursday. Gonzalo Aman nailed 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Penarol's coach Tomas Sirochinsky used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joaquin Capurro came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Racing Ch. in the defeat. Penarol moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Racing Ch. dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with San Lorenzo. Penarol will meet Boca Jrs. (#17) in the next round. Racing Ch. will play against Union (#14) and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 37 were not that significant. Obera smashed Olimpico on the road 92-59. Penarol won against San Lorenzo on its own court 72-56. Regatas managed to outperform Atenas in Corrientes 99-88. Platense managed to beat Union at home 93-79. Ferro was defeated by La Union on the opponent's court 85-80.
The most impressive performance of 37th round was 38 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by Franco Gimenez of La Union.




Independ.O. - Regatas 70-126

The game in Olivia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Regatas (23-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Independ.O. (15-11). Regatas smashed Independ.O. 126-70. They outrebounded Independ.O. 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Regatas shot the lights out from three nailing 22 long-distance shots on high 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Alan Ledesma stepped up and scored 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Viktor Bender (197-2006) chipped in 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Regatas players scored in double figures. Five Obera players scored in double figures. Lautaro Cerioni came up with 7 points and 6 rebounds and guard Ignacio Gonzalez (187-2003) added 13 points respectively for Olimpico in the defeat. Olimpico's coach Jose Maria Gerez already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
