Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 9 in LDB U20 was guest Cerrado's (#2) road victory over Corinthians (#3) 71-70 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Ruan Miranda (205-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Robson Junior (178-2000) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Samis Calderon (196-2004) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds. Cerrado (5-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place behind leader Pinheiros. Corinthians at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Vasco da Gama. Cerrado are looking forward to face Cearense (#6) in Fortaleza in the next round. Corinthians' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sao Paulo to the arena Uniao Corinthians.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sao Paulo. Leader Paulistano faced bottom-ranked Botafogo. Host Paulistano (6-0) smashed guests from Rio de Janeiro (0-0) 74-46. It was a good game for point guard Adyel Pereira (188-2002) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Henrique Seixas contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Joao Macedo (202-2002) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for Botafogo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Paulistano. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Botafogo at the other side still closes the standings with 0 game lost. Paulistano will play against Coritiba (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Botafogo will play against Franca (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
An interesting game where host Bauru (#7) won against 4th placed Vasco da Gama 67-57 on Wednesday evening. Felipe Cardoso stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Matheusinho Brito with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bauru (3-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Vasco da Gama dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Corinthians. Bauru will meet Caxias do Sul (#7) on the road in the next round. Vasco da Gama will play against Rio Claro (#11) and hope to secure a win.

Mogi managed to outperform Campo Mourao in a home game 94-79. Minas lost to undefeated Pinheiros on the road 60-83. Franca defeated Uniao Corinthians on its own court 68-52. Coritiba beat Rio Claro in a road game 83-69. Cearense won against Caxias do Sul at home 60-56.
The best stats of 9th round was 11 points and 10 rebounds by Vinicius Chagas of Cearense.



Pato - Flamengo 64-84

There was no surprise in Pato Branco where 9th ranked Pato (1-6) was crushed by fourth ranked Flamengo (5-2) 84-64 on Tuesday. Flamengo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Pato's 38. Flamengo forced 29 Pato turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Rafael Rachel (205-2000) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and forward Emanuel Fernandes (197-2003) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Five Flamengo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Afonso Campos (205-2004) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Raul Vinicius (182-2005) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flamengo maintains fourth place with 5-2 record, which they share with Sao Paulo. Pato lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Campo Mourao. Flamengo will meet at home league's leader Pinheiros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pato will play against Brasilia (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
