Mexico are the COCABA champions. They overcame El Salvador to capture the sixth Gold in the last seven editions of the tournament. Mexico eked out a 35-33 halftime advantage. They followed with a strong 40-23 rally in the second half to ice the victory. Alexia Lagunas (172-SG-1998, agency: Daggers Sports) tallied 18 points, while Mariana Valenzuela (188-F-2003) added 16 points and 20 rebounds for the champions. Hillary Martinez (172-SF-1997) responded with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for El Salvador.
3-4 Place
Panama - Nicaragua 49-59
Nicaragua stepped onto the pedestal as they beat Panama for the third-place finish in Managua. Panama recorded a 29-27 halftime lead. But the hosts went on a 32-20 second-half rally to snatch the win at the end. Kiyomi McMiller (173-G-2006) stepped up with 36 points to pace Nicaragua. Veronica Vega (169-SF-1991) answered with 15 points for Panama.

5-6 Place
Honduras - Guatemala 55-56
Guatemala nipped Honduras to claim the fifth position at the tournament. Honduras recorded a 33-20 halftime advantage. But Guatemala responded with a 36-22 run in the second half to snatch a narrow win at the end. Valeria Oliva (169-F-2006) posted 14 points for Guatemala. Nelly Rapalo (173-G-1999) hauled in 20 points and 10 rebounds for Honduras.

Mariana Valenzuela, Mexican power forward was honored as the Most Valuable Player at the FIBA Central American Championship. She plays For the Florida State University in the ACC. Valenzuela received multiple other awards, earned the Best Center and was named to the First Team. She started playing in the Mexican National Team 3 years ago. Valenzuela also played for the Under 16 national team back in 2019. Her court vision propelled her to the fifth spot in points per game an outstanding average of 15. Hillary Martinez, 28-year old Salvadorean small forward was named the Best Forward at the FIBA Central American Championship. She plays For the Mieleras de Guanajuato in Mexico. Martinez was also voted to the First Team. She started playing in the Salvadorean National Team 13 years ago. Martinez also played for the Under 18 national team back in 2014. She was previously voted the Best Forward back in 2022 and selected to the First Team back in 2022 and 2023. Martinez's playmaking prowess was on full display as she secured the third position in points per game averaging 16. She led the FIBA AmeriCup in assists per game with over 8. Martinez has totalled 3 games of 20 or more points and had double-doubles in 2 games during the event. Her 22 points against Dominican Republic were the most she scored at the tournament.
Alexia Lagunas, 27-year old Mexican shooting guard was chosen to the First Team of FIBA Central American Championship. She plays For the El Calor. It is Lagunas' second year in the Mexican National Team. Lagunas also played for the University national team back in 2019. She recorded almost 14 points and over 4 rebounds per game at the event. Lagunas' 18 points against El Salvador were the most she scored at the tournament.
Kimberly Villalobos, Salvadorean forward was named to the First Team at the FIBA Central American Championship. She plays For the San Diego State University in the MW. Villalobos was previously selected as the Best Center and earned a spot in the First Team back in 2022. Her masterful distribution skills earned her the second spot in rebounds per game with an impressive average of almost 11. Villalobos also logged over 14 points per game at the event.
