Eurobasket is glad to present you the stats leaders of Centrobasket Championship 2008 which was held in Puerto Rico. Interesting that golden Cuba doesn't have any player on the list of Top 3 scorers.

Number one on the list with the top scorers belongs to Cynthia Valentin (173-G-84, agency: LBM Management, college: Indiana) of Puerto Rico. Velentin demonstrated wonderful performance during the entire event. Her team easily walked though Group A with score 3-0. At the semifinals Puerto Rico was too strong for Dominican Republic but they faced with strong Cubans in the final game.
Blanca Amado (-80) of Guatemala is the second scorer of the competition with 20.4 ppg. Her team ended it as a seventh ranked team registering two victories.
Third place is reserved for Patrice Edwards (198-C-84, college: Texas Tech), who netted 20 ppg. Her Trinidad & Tobago started the competition with 0-3 in Group B. However, Edwards and her teammates had much better performance in the classification rounds. They outplayed Barbados and later Guatemala grabbing the fifth position.

Top rebounder of Centorbasket 2008 is Jamila Griffith (183-G/F-82, college: Md-Eastern Shore) from Barbados with amazing 14.6 rpg. Costa Rican Liliana Lewis (-80) is on the second position having 9.6 rpg while exactly the same number had Marlen Cepeda (193-C-85) of Cuba.

Yahimilly Cabrera dished out the most assist on the championship, 9 apg. Oyanaisis Gelis (171-G-83) followed her with 7.2 apg while Arlenys Romero (176-G-84) had 6 apg.
