Puerto Rico celebrated Centrobasket title. They fired past Cuba in the championship game in Manati. The hosts dominated right from the start. Puerto Rico built an 18:11 lead after ten minutes. They grabbed a 38:28 halftime lead. Puerto Rico triggered a 24:11 run in the fourth period to seal the win. Jennifer O'Neill (165-PG-90, college: Kentucky, agency: Legends Sports) posted 34 points to lead the champions. Yolanda Jones (184-F-84, college: La-Lafayette) added 14 points in the victory. Yamara Amargo (179-PF-85, agency: Pro Sports) replied with 18 points for Cuba.
3-4 Place
Mexico - Dominican Republic 85-81
Mexico stepped onto the pedestal in Manati. They dropped Dominican Republic in the consolation final. Jazmin Valenzuela delivered 18 points for the winners. Dominican Republic used a 31:12 run in the second term to accumulate a 44:35 halftime lead. But Mexico sank 50 points after the big break to rally to the victory. Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-F-93, college: Charleston) and Gladiana Avila (177-F-94) had 16 points each in the win. Sugeiry Monsac (186-F/C-81) replied with 27 points and 10 rebounds for Dominican Republic.
5-6 Place
Bahamas - Costa Rica 55-49
Bahamas secured the fifth-place finish at the championship. They overcame Costa Rica in the final game in Manati. Brea Forbes (173-G-94) came up with 16 points to lead the charge. Tracey Lewis (180-G) added 13 points for the winning side. Bahamas trailed by 5 points heading into the fourth quarter. But they went on a 20:9 run in the fourth stanza to snatch the win. Jennifer Sanchez (178-F/C-96) had 13 points for Costa Rica.
