Group A
Guatemala - Brazil 43-109
Brazil clinched the second victory in Group A. They overcame Guatemala to seal their semifinal appearance. Five players scored in double digits for Brazil. Raphaella Da Silva (186-C-99) netted 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the winners. Brazil piled up a 54:26 halftime lead. They went on a 55:17 second half rally to ice the victory. Lays Da Silva (168-PG-98) produced 16 points for the winning side. Ileana Cobar (170-G/F-99) responded with 9 points for Guatemala.

Venezuela - USA 52-110
The USA beat Venezuela to finish the preliminary round with a perfect record. Jeannie Boehm (190-F-98) came off the bench to score 20 points and grab 9 rebounds for the winners. The USA recorded a 56:31 halftime lead. They maintained the advantage throughout the second half and cruised to the win. Amber Ramirez (173-G-98) tossed in 18 points for the winners. Maria Quero (160-PG-99) responded with 12 points for Venezuela.

Group B
Chile - Mexico 65-75
Mexico finished the preliminary round campaign on a high note. The hosts beat Chile for 1-2 record in Group B. Ornella Rivera (170-G-98) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Chile secured a 22:19 lead after the opening frame. However Mexico denied the deficit and established a 39:36 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 6-point mark at the final intermission. Mexico limited Chile to just 14 points in the fourth stanza and rolled to the win. Yarelli Padilla (164-PG-98) tossed in 12 points for the winning side. Constanza Antero (169-PG-98) answered with game-high 32 points for Chile.

Puerto Rico - Canada 47-69
Canada outgunned Puerto Rico for the third straight victory at the tournament. Alyssa Jerome (185-C-99) came up with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort. Canada jumped to a 17:2 lead after ten minutes. Puerto Rico pulled within 12 points at halftime. But Canada unloaded 39 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Aislinn Konig (175-PG-98, college: CAN NT U16) netted 16 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and issued 5 assists for the winners. Nicolette Oppenheimer (172-G-99) responded with 14 points for Puerto Rico.
