It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mineros. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman JP Moorman II (201-1998, college: UC Riverside, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Harrison Butler (196, college: SUU) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Mineros' coach Facundo Muller rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Freseros went down to tenth position due to points difference, which they share with Halc.Xalapa. Mineros at the other side keep the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Diablos. Freseros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mineros will play at home against Freseros and are hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Dorados (4-2) against fourth ranked Fuerza Regia (4-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Dorados were defeated by Fuerza Regia in a tough game in Monterrey 68-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dorados. It was a great evening for American swingman Brandon Paul (193-1991, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Scott Bamforth helped adding 18 points. At the losing side American Tyren Johnson (202-1988, college: Louisiana) responded with 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fuerza Regia maintains fourth place with 4-2 record, which they share with defeated Dorados. LNBP top team - Soles (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Correcaminos (3-4) in Mexicali 94-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Correcaminos. It was a quality performance for Connor Zinaich who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Brandon Spearman came up with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for Correcaminos in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Undefeated Soles have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Loser Correcaminos dropped to the seventh position with four games lost.
