LNBPF round 5 most important game was a victory of Adelitas over 4th placed El Calor 83-60 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of El Calor. Adelitas made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded El Calor 46-35 including 19 on the offensive glass. American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points. Latvian center Anete Steinberga (191-1990, college: UTEP) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds for El Calor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelitas (8-2) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place having just two points less than leader Panteras, which they share with Fuerza Regia. El Calor at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Adelitas is looking forward to face Freseras (#6) in Irapuato in the next round.
