Group A
Chile - Argentina 69-74
Argentina held off Chile to stay perfect at the championship. Matias Solanas (192-G-98) poured in 27 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 4 assists to lead the winners. Argentina accounted for a 35:33 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 15-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. Chile narrowed the distance in the fourth frame but could not avoid the loss. Lisandro Fernandez (190-PG-98) had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Nicolas Aguirre (176-PG-97) responded with 22 points for Chile.

Ecuador - Uruguay 55-74
Uruguay rallied past Ecuador to improve at 1-1 record in Group A. Martin Rojas (196-PF-98) scored 21 points to pace the winners. Agustin Da Costa (193-SG-98) added 10 points in the victory. Uruguay opened a 24:12 lead after the opening quarter. They went on a 21:7 run in the third term to take a comfortable 21-point lead. Ecuador narrowed the gap in the fourth period but could not avoid the loss. Francisco Bedoya netted 11 points for Ecuador.

Group B
Venezuela - Brazil 67-80
Brazil clinched the third straight victory in Chaco. They toppled Venezuela to stay perfect in Group B. Danilo Araujo (194-SG-99) knocked down 24 points to lead the winners. Brazil eked out a 32:29 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 3-point mark at the final intermission. Brazil fired 29 points in the fourth period and raced to a comfortable victory. Felipe Ruivo notched 19 point for Brazil. Luis Llamos (F) responded with 18 points for Venezuela.

Paraguay - Colombia 101-83
Paraguay fired past Colombia to gain 2-1 record in Group B. Emmanuel Gonzalez (98) notched 25 points to lead the winning side. Paraguay accounted for a comfortable 52:40 halftime lead. They dropped 49 points in the second half and coasted to the victory. Juan Poisson (98) netted 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the win. Soren De Luque responded with 19 points for Colombia.
