Group AColombia - Peru 85-34Colombia cruised past Peru to take 2-0 record in Group A. Leyder Moreno (193-SG-00) accounted for 12 points in the win. Colombia piled up a comfortable 52:15 halftime lead. They ignited a 24:6 run in the third term to clear off for good. Juan Lombana (183-SG-00) notched 11 points for the winners. Tomas Huanca (183-SF-01) responded with 10 points for Peru. Venezuela - Chile 58-71 Chile posted the second straight victory in Lima. They rallied past Venezuela to stay perfect in Group A. Kevin Rubio (189-G-00) posted 20 points and 8 rebounds to pace the winners. Chile established a 38:17 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 22-point mark at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the win. Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd (208-F-00) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds in the victory. Isaac Gelves (00) responded with 10 points for Venezuela. Group BParaguay - Uruguay 66-57Paraguay improved at 2-1 record in Group B following victory over Uruguay. Nestor Lopez (00) and Jose Rolon (00) banked in 18 points each to lead the winners. Uruguay jumped to an 18:5 lead after the opening frame. But Paraguay unloaded 43 points in the next two quarters to gain a 6-point lead. They went on an 18:14 run in the fourth period to seal the win. Santiago Vescovi (184-SG-01) responded with 18 points for Uruguay. Bolivia - Argentina 29-91 Argentina cruised past Bolivia to secure the third straight win in Lima. Julian Eydallin (195-F/G-00) stepped up with 18 points for the winners. Argentina established a 38:11 halftime advantage. They poured in 53 points in the second half and coasted to the win. Juan Hierrezuelo (203-F/C-00) tossed in 13 points for Argentina. Lazaro Chappottin (F-00) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds for Bolivia. |
