Group APeru - Venezuela 31-70Venezuela outgunned Peru to improve at 1-2 record in Group A. Irvin Heredia (00) came off the bench to score 20 points and grab 13 rebounds for the winners. Venezuela enjoyed a 25:19 halftime advantage. They however stepped on the gas in the second term. Venezuela used a 45:12 run to run away. Fernando Fuenmayor (00) connected for 11 points for the visitors. Jose Mesones (197-C-00) responded with 14 points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocks for Peru. Chile - Colombia 83-49 Chile secured the third straight win in Lima. They stormed past Colombia to stay on top of Group A. Ignacio Arroyo (185-G-00) provided 20 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds to lead the winners. Chile accumulated a 35:23 halftime lead. They went on a 28:10 run in the fourth term to seal a comfortable win. Lino Saez (195-F-77) and Kevin Rubio (189-G-00) delivered 17 points each for the winners. Chyse Webster (204-C-00) responded with 10 points for Colombia. Group BUruguay - Bolivia 88-48Uruguay cruised past Bolivia to open win count in Group B. Rodrigo Coelho (193-SG-00) accounted for 22 points to lead the winners. Uruguay accounted for a 46:21 halftime lead. They maintained the lead throughout the second half and cruised to the victory. Nicolas Andreoli (196-SF-00) chipped in 12 points in the win. Agustin Carreon (G-00) replied with 22 points for Bolivia. Ecuador - Paraguay 50-46 Ecuador held off Paraguay for 2-1 record in Lima. Michael Moncayo (00) delivered 18 points and 7 rebounds to pace the winners. Ecuador grabbed a 24:19 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 10-point mark heading into the fourth period 40:30. Paraguay narrowed the deficit in the final frame but could not avoid the loss. Edward Sanchez (188-G-00) tossed in 15 points for the winners. Fabricio Ruiz (187-G-02) responded with 11 points for Paraguay. |
