The game between third ranked Cordon (4-3) and eleventh ranked Tabare (2-5) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Cordon was defeated by Tabare in a tough game in Tabare 78-84. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Cordon's 32. 25 personal fouls committed by Cordon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian center Ignacio Alessio (203-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. point guard Leandro Taboada (180-86) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Tabare's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Octavio Medina (195-96) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Cordon. Tabare maintains eleventh place with 2-5 record. Cordon at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Colon and Sayago.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Stockolmo (4-4) against tenth ranked 25 de Agosto (3-4) on Tuesday night. Host Stockolmo was defeated by 25 de Agosto in a tough game in Montevideo 62-69. Point guard Brian Garcia (182-90) stepped up and scored 19 points and 4 assists for the winners and Lucas Capalbo chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. At the losing side point guard Juan Galletto (182-96) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Stockolmo's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. 25 de Agosto moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Verdirrojo. Stockolmo at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with U.Atletica.
An interesting game for Lagomar (6-0) which hosted in Montevideo 3rd placed Colon (4-3). Leader Lagomar managed to get a 6-point victory 87-81. Agustin Da Costa nailed 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Emiliano Gonzalez came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for Colon in the defeat. Undefeated Lagomar have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Loser Colon keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Cordon and Sayago.

In the last game of round 13 Danubio was beaten by U.Atletica on the road 82-80.



Lagomar - Colon 87-81

An interesting game for Lagomar (6-0) which hosted in Montevideo 3rd placed Colon (4-3). Leader Lagomar managed to get a 6-point victory 87-81. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lagomar made 7 blocks. Swingman Agustin Da Costa (191-98) nailed 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized American Reque Newsome (203-81, college: S.Indiana) accounted for 24 points. Forward Emiliano Gonzalez (201-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Gianfranco Espindola (196-99) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Colon in the defeat. This time U.Atletica used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Montevideo 82-80 on Tuesday night.
