Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lagomar made 7 blocks. Swingman Agustin Da Costa (191-98) nailed 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized American Reque Newsome (203-81, college: S.Indiana) accounted for 24 points. Host Stockolmo was defeated by 25 de Agosto in a tough game in Montevideo 62-69. 25 de Agosto outrebounded Stockolmo 42-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Point guard Brian Garcia (182-90) stepped up and scored 19 points and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Lucas Capalbo (175-0, college: Odessa JC) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists.
