It was a key game for the second position in the league. American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Luciano Parodi supported him with 20 points. Even 10 points and 9 rebounds by Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) did not help to save the game for Defensor. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nacional have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Cordon has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Welcome (0-5) 98-81 on Wednesday.
