Mexico clinch U16 COCABA Championship title

Mexico celebrated U16 COCABA Championship title. They defeated hosting Guatemala 60:43 for the trophy. Diana Landin stepped up with 18 points to lead the winners. Guatemala enjoyed a 9:7 lead after the first period. But Mexico went on a 33:13 run in the next two quarters to surge ahead for good. They never looked back afterwards marching to the win. Diana Cano had 9 points for the winners. Vicky Juarez responded with 21 points for Guatemala.
Honduras finished third at the tournament. They overcame El Salvador 63:57 in the consolation final. Nelly Rapalo scored 28 points to lead the effort.
