But they went on a strong 41-18 second half rally to seal the win. Kiyomi McMiller (173-G-2006) accounted for 25 points and 8 rebounds for Nicaragua. Maria Ramirez (183-C-2007) answered with 11 points for Costa Rica. Mexico - Panama 67-48 Mexico fired past Panama en route to the opening win in Group B. Mexico secured a 34-15 halftime lead and protected the lead well throughout the second half. Alexia Lagunas (172-SG-1998, agency: Daggers Sports) finished with 12 points, while Mariana Valenzuela (188-F-2003) added 11 points and 13 rebounds for Mexico.
