Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Caimanes (6-3) which hosted in Villavicencio one of their biggest challengers Paisas (5-4). Second ranked Caimanes managed to get a 10-point victory 90-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paisas. The former international point guard Octavio Munoz (179-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 5 assists. American power forward Rashad Hassan (203-1989, college: SSU) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Davion Bailey (193, college: UIW) replied with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Paisas. Paisas' coach Luis Lopera rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Caimanes went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Cimarrones. Defending champion Paisas dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
LBP top team - Toros (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Motilones (2-7) in Cali 86-56. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Emmanuel Payton-Clottey (183-1997, college: FSU) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 rebounds and Saquan Singleton who added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros maintains first position with 8-1 record. Motilones lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Storm is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked Cimarrones (6-3) 90-65 on Sunday evening. The winners were led by TyLik Evans who scored that evening 31 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Even 17 points by Robert Nieves did not help to save the game for Carrib.Storm. Storm's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cimarrones have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Caimanes. Carrib.Storm at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Cimarrones will meet Sabios (#6) in the next round. Carrib.Storm will play against the league's second-placed Piratas in Bogota and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 8: Sabios were beaten by Piratas on the road 85-71. Cimarrones destroyed Carrib.Storm on its own court 91-55. Sabios unfortunately lost to Piratas in Bogota 79-94.

Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Even 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Jonathan Salazar (-2001) did not help to save the game for Sabios. Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Sabios lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost.
