Group 7-8 Place
Uruguay - Mexico 68-74
In closest game of the day Mexico beat Uruguay in a battle for seventh place. Yahir Bonilla (204-SF-03) scored 23 points and also he added double-digit number of rebounds, he had 15 for huge double-double performance for young Mexican player. With combined of 35 index points he was true MVP of this game. Jesus Ochoa (186-PG-04) added 12 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Agustin Ubal (197-G-03) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds, but 1 out of 8 for three points lower his index and he ended with only 5. Best was Nicolas Bessio (188-PG-03) with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Group 5-6 Place
Puerto Rico - Brazil 61-78
Brazil managed to won game easy against Puerto Rico in a match for fifth place on FIBA Americas U16 tournament. Felipe Motta (199-G/F-03) put great effort in this game with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Vinicius Vicenti (187-PG-03) scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Puerto Rico side didn't stood a chance in this game but Jeremy Figueroa (180-G-03) put great game alongside his name. 15 points and 6 rebounds with 6 assists for best player of Puerto Rico side on this game. Joshua Rivera (198-F-03) had double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds but he did miss a lot from the field and that lower his index rating.
Group 3-4 Place
Argentina - Dominican Republic 77-80
What a tournament for Jean Montero (185-G-03)! He put magnificent performance and bring bronze to Dominican Republic after they beat Argentina in last game on this tournament. Montero scored 49 out of 80 total points for Dominican Republic, he added 12 rebounds and 1 assists in this game. Rebounds prevailed on this game as Dominican side collected 48 while Argentina had 37. In Argentina best was Esteban Caffaro (200-SF-03) with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Dominican Republic ended this tournament with 4 wins and 3 loses, Argentina had 2-5.
Group FINAL
USA - Canada 94-77
USA did it again! Another gold for USA and again they beat Canadian side in the Finals. They dominated the rim with 58 out of 94 points, also bench helped a lot for USA side. Canada managed to lead only one time with +2 and that was on very beginning of the game. 34 rebounds for USA versus 29 for Canada in this game, not a big difference but if we take a look on Offensive rebounds it was huge win for USA, they had 23 and Canada had only 11. MVP of this game was Chris Livingston (196-F) with 23 points and 6 rebounds, three players contributed with 20 index rating, Jabari Smith (203-F) combined 14 points and 9 rebounds, Jalen Duren (206-PF) flushed 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and A.J. Griffin (198-SF) had 18 points and 5 rebounds. Caleb Houstan (205-F/G-03) scored 25 points for Canada, he was followed by Enoch Boakye (206-C-03) with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Ryan Nembhard (183-PG-03) scored 21 point and had 9 assists.
