Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 19 most important game was a victory of Aguada over 7th ranked Penarol 85-83 on Friday night. Aguada made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Tyreek Duren (183-91, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording 29 points. Tyrone Lee (203-90, college: GVSU) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Lee Roberts (203-87, college: Findlay, OH) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Penarol. Penarol's coach Pablo Lopez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguada maintains fourth place with 10-5 record. Penarol at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Malvin.
Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Seventh ranked Penarol (9-6) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging 6th ranked Olimpia (8-7) 77-74 on Monday evening. It was a great evening for American center Lee Roberts (203-87, college: Findlay, OH) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. John Flowers helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Penarol's coach Pablo Lopez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Canadian forward Ryan Ejim (201-93, college: Carleton) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Penarol moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Malvin. Olimpia at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#6) and Hebraica (#8). Malvin (9-6) crushed visiting Hebraica (7-8) by 16 points 97-81. It was an exceptional evening for Anthony Hilliard who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Durrell Summers came up with 27 points for Hebraica in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Malvin moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Penarol. Hebraica lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost.

Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Urunday was beaten by Goes on the road 92-81. O.Mundial won against Defensor on its own court 68-67. Urupan managed to outperform Capitol in a road game 90-79. Nacional managed to beat O.Mundial at home 97-85. Trouville was defeated by Urupan on the opponent's court 106-96.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 22 points and 11 rebounds by Jarrid Famous of Capitol.



Goes - Urunday 92-81

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Goes (14-1) beat 10th ranked Urunday (4-10) in Montevideo 92-81 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian forward Franco Giorgetti (203-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Puerto Rican forward Johwen Villegas (194-85, college: FIU) accounted for 23 points for the winning side. Five Goes players scored in double figures. American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: GMU, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Andres Dotti (180-93) added 20 points, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for Urunday in the defeat. Urunday's coach Hector Da Pra tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Goes have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Urunday lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost.

O.Mundial - Defensor 68-67

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Defensor (4-11) was edged by thirteenth ranked O.Mundial (4-11) in Montevideo 68-67 on Monday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Justin Pierce (193-90, college: Averett) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. The former international center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: NM State) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Tristan Spurlock (203-91, college: UCF) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Defensor in the defeat. O.Mundial moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Defensor and Trouville. Defensor lost third consecutive game.

Very predictable result when third ranked Urupan (11-4) won against bottom-ranked Capitol (2-12) in Montevideo 90-79 on Monday. Urupan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Capitol's 36. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: UMass Lowell) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 4 steals. Sebastian Ottonello (195-97) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Urupan's coach Esteban Yaquinta used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Jarrid Famous (211-88, college: S.Florida, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Davaunta Thomas (196-95, college: UAFS) added 19 points and 6 assists respectively for Capitol in the defeat. Five Urupan and four Capitol players scored in double figures. Urupan have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Urupan maintains third place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Goes. Loser Capitol stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost.

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#6) and Hebraica (#8). Malvin (9-6) crushed visiting Hebraica (7-8) by 16 points 97-81. Malvin made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: ECSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized German center Kiril Wachsmann (203-84, college: Iona) accounted for 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American-Mexican Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) came up with 27 points and Gaston Semiglia (186-91) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Hebraica in the defeat. Five Malvin and four Hebraica players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked O.Mundial (4-11) lost to ninth ranked Nacional (6-8) in Montevideo 85-97 on Friday. Nacional made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). The former international forward Santiago Moglia (196-89) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) came up with 25 points and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Justin Pierce (193-90, college: Averett) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for O.Mundial in the defeat. Five Nacional and four O.Mundial players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nacional maintains ninth place with 6-8 record. Newly promoted O.Mundial dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Defensor and Trouville.

American-Mexican forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) came up with 28 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and American-Jordanian forward Cameron Forte (201-93, college: Portland St.) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Trouville in the defeat.
