L.Borges - Goes 75-62 The most surprising game was the first loss of Goes (4-1) in Montevideo on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked L.Borges (3-3) 75-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Goes. They outrebounded Goes 43-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Mauro Zubiaurre (189-1994) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Christian Pereira (194-1993) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four L.Borges players scored in double figures. Forward Ignacio Xavier (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) replied with 14 points and 4 assists and guard Martin Osimani (194-1981, college: Duquesne, agency: Pro Sports) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for Goes. Trouville dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday's 34. American forward Josh Price (205-1996, college: S.Indiana) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) notched 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Even 7 points and 12 rebounds by Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Aguada. Four Bigua players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by American power forward Charles Thomas (202-1986, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Penarol. American Joe Lawson (201-1992, college: Indianapolis) notched 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-1994) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Eric Ferguson (203-1989, college: Georgia South) did not help to save the game for Urupan. Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-1993, college: UW-Parkside) added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Hebraica and five Urupan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hebraica moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Urupan dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost.
