Pichincha clinched Libobasquet title. They held off Atomico Calero in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 22-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Pichincha outrebounded Atomico 46-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Atomico helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Hunter Preston (201, college: Columbus St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-1989) chipped in 21 points.
