Puerto Rico are U17 Centrobasket champions. They crushed Dominican Republic to claim the trophy in Belize City. Puerto Rico built a 49-31 halftime advantage. They limited Dominican Republic to 26 points in the second half and raced to a well-deserved victory at the end. Chalier Torres (185-SG-2006) produced 23 points, while Brandon Lee (188-SG-2006) contributed 18 points for Puerto Rico. Lucas Morillo (201-G-2007) answered with 15 points for Dominican Republic.
3-4 Place
Mexico - Belize 72-87
Belize stepped onto the pedestal at home championship as they rallied past Mexico in the consolation final. Mexico grabbed a 43-40 halftime lead. But Belize responded with a strong 47-29 second half push to seal the win. Tevaughn Dawson (2006) produced 22 points, while Devin Moody (2006) added 15 points for Belize. Angel Ochoa (2006) answered with 34 points for Mexico.

5-6 Place
Panama - Jamaica 83-79
Panama held off Jamaica to finish fifth in Belize City. Jamaica led throughout the first half arriving at the big break up by 7 points 47-40. They extended the lead to as many as 17 points at the final break. But Panama responded with a furious 26-6 run in the fourth period to snatch the win. Lionel McDonald (173-G-2006) stepped up with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Daniels Machore (170-G-2006) added 21 points and 11 rebounds for Panama. D'Marley Elliot answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds for Jamaica.

7-8 Place
El Salvador - Costa Rica 53-56
Costa Rica toppled El Salvador to claim the 7th position at the championship. Emmanuel Cheung (185-G-2006) notched 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win. El Salvador registered a 29-26 halftime advantage. But Costa Rica held their opponents to just 24 points in the second half and got away with a narrow win at the end. Gabriel Tobar (185-PF-2006) answered with 14 points and 18 rebounds for El Salvador.
