Puerto Rico - Mexico 73-55
Puerto Rico advanced to the Final game of the Centrobasket U17. The hosts of the tournament overcame Mexico73:55 in the Semifinal clash and will take on Dominican Republic tomorrow in the Final. Mexico will play against U.S. Virgin Islands for the third place. Mexico entered the court motivated and created a 7-0 run in the first two minutes of the quarter. Puerto Rico managed to reply with some important baskets for 18:17 at the end of the first period. The hosts managed to win the second period and reached 38:34 at the halftime. In the third quarter the Puerto Ricans took a 15-point lead, thanks to the great performance from the center, Jose Arroyo who scored 8 points in the quarter. Puerto Rico added 16-13 rally at the end of the game for the final result. Arroyo Jose stepped up with 15 points and Gandia Ivan notched 11. Leandro Allende (190-F/G-97) delivered 9, while Ramos Alex had 8. Alvaro Mendoza (SF-96) ended up with 16 points in defeat, whilst Jeffry Suarez (SG-96) scored 10. Olalde Raul produced 9, while Garcia Osmar and Soto Victor shot 7 each.
Dominican Republic - U.S. Virgin Islands 84-36
Dominican Republic heads to the Final of the Centrobasket U17. They smashed U.S. Virgin Islands 84:36 in the Semifinal game and will take on Puerto Rico in the Final game tomorrow. U.S. Virgin Islands meanwhile will play against Mexico in the game for the third place. Dominican Republic scored the first 13 points in the game and erupted for 30:4 lead at the end of the first period. The favorites posted a 18-12 rally in the second period and enjoyed a 48:16 halftime advantage. Moreover the second half also belonged to Dominican Republic that won the third period 13-8 and then finished the game with 23-12 in the last stanza. Yerri Flores (188-PG-96) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Francisco Oliver nailed 16. Rodriguez Jeromy collected 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Andres Feliz (183-SG-97) netted 8. Murphy Jordan delivered 9 points in a loss, while Adams Stephaun shot 7. Rashawn Fredericks (195-SF-97) ended up with 6 points and Colson Paul put up 5.

Bahamas - British Virgin Islands 89-82
Bahamas outgun British Virgin Islands in Caguas at the Centrobasket U17. Bahamas posted an 89:82 win and will play for the 5th place tomorrow against El Salvador. British Virgin Islands meanwhile will take on Costa Rica in the game for 7-8 places. Bahamas produced a 23-13 rally at the start of the game and then added 26-23 before the halftime. British Virgin Islands looked better in the second half and managed to respond with two narrow victories. They won the third period 22-21 and finished the game with 24-19 run in the last stanza. It was not enough however to win the game as Bahamas outgun British Virgin Islands 89:82. Rashad Davis (185-SF-97) top-scored for the winners with 15 points and 21 rebounds and Charles Bain (195-PF-96) nailed 13, Wilson Jordan brought 12 points and 11 rebounds, whilst Gray Sebastian had 9. Telemaque Kimron ended up with 25 points in defeat, while Caul Stephon ended up with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Terique Wattley (183-PG-98) netted 15 and Dore Ja'Moi had 8.
El Salvador - Costa Rica 71-51
El Salvador defeat Costa Rica at the Classification Round of the Centrobasket U17. El Salvador needed a 71:51 win and will play for the 5th place tomorrow against Bahamas. Costa Rica meanwhile will take on British Virgin Islands in the game for the 7-8 places. El Salvador opened the game with 19-11 and led 7 points at the halftime. They managed to win both quarters in the second half and celebrated a 20-point victory. El Salvador won the third frame 24-19 and finished the game with 15-7 rally. Leonardo Hernandez (177-SG-97) top-scored for the winners with 25 points and Omar Coreas (192-C-97) collected 13 points and 11 boards. Rodrigo Gutierrez (175-PG-96) ended up with 12 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Regalado Amilcar had 10. Pearson Miguel produced 11 points in defeat and Marco Chacon (196-PF-97) added 9 points and 10 rebounds. Herrera Mario also scored 9, while Shedden Daniel had 7.
