Puerto Rico - Guyana 115-48
Puerto Rico dropped Guyana to improve at 2-0 record in Santo Domingo. Gianfranco Grafal (190-SG-00) accounted for 23 points in the win. Puerto Rico stayed in charge throughout the first half. They accumulated a 47:26 halftime lead. Puerto Rico dropped 68 points in the second half to seal the win. Jeriel Zayas (185-G-00) provided 20 points for the winners. Kevon Wiggins (182-PG-00) responded with 15 points for Guyana.

Bahamas - Mexico 75-83
Mexico outscored Bahamas for the first win in Group A. Javier Gonzalez (190-F-00) came up with 32 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort. The teams were tied at 36 heading into the second half. Mexico however sank 47 points in the second half to snatch the win. Moises Andriassi (185-F-00) tossed in 17 points for the winners. Dominick Bridgewater (180-PG-00) responded with 31 points and 13 rebounds for Bahamas.

Group B
Dominican Republic - U.S. Virgin Islands 97-60
Dominican Republic posted the second straight win in Group B. They beat Virgin Islands behind 16 points and 10 rebounds from Alanzo Frink (203-F-00). Dominican Republic secured a 45:29 halftime lead. They went on a 28:12 run in the third term to clear off for good. Elian Torres (182-G/F-00) produced 11 points and 12 rebounds for Dominican Republic. Amir Nesbitt (182-PG-01) topscored with 12 points for US Virgin Islands.

Jamaica - Panama 56-54
Jamaica nipped Panama to open win count at the championship. Jalen Menzies (177-PG-00), Kareem Reid (203-F-00) and Daimar Dyall-Richards (200-F-01) delivered 13 points each for the winning side. Jamaica eked out a 22:20 halftime lead. They stretched the margin at 6-point mark at the final intermission. Panama narrowed the deficit in the final period but could not avoid the loss. Edward Lopez (190-C-01) led all scorers with 22 points for Panama.
