Mexico to host the Centrobasket U17 Championship

The FIBA Regional Office in the Americas has selected Mexicali, Mexico as the host city for the Centrobasket U17 Championship that will be played in December 8-12. The Centrobasket U17 Championship will feature the participation of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico. The top three teams from the Centrobasket U17 Championship will qualify to the FIBA U18 Americas Championships 2022. Mexico earned the Gold Medal of the Centrobasket U17 Championship 2019, for the first time in history, with a 65-60 win over Puerto Rico.
