Costa Rica - Aruba 93-41
Costa Rica stormed past Aruba in the opener. Julian Soles came up with 25 points to lead the winners. Costa Rica sank 62 points in the first half to take a massive 51-point lead heading into the second half and never looked back en route to the win. Mayron Guerrero (190-F-04) posted 16 points and 9 rebounds in the victory. Jean Salomond (05) answered with 13 points for Aruba.

Panama - Puerto Rico 70-85
Puerto Rico outscored Panama to ensure the first win at the championship. Panama led by five points at the first break. But Puerto Rico responded with a 28-10 run in the second term to take a 13-point halftime lead. Puerto Rico sank 42 points in the second half to protect the lead and rally to the win. Yaniel Rivera (190-SG-04) notched 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Andres Vergara (181-SG-05) answered with 15 points for Panama.

El Salvador - Dominican Republic 58-114
Dominican Republic eased past El Salvador in the first game at the tournament. Seven players scored in double digits for the winning side. Yeison Liberato (198-SF-05) and Nasir Muhammad (183-PG-04) scored 16 points each to lead the charge. Dominican Republic poured in 61 points in the first half and cleared off for good. Kaeden Sibrian (06) notched 17 points for El Salvador.

Mexico - Jamaica 117-67
Santiago Camacho (04) nailed 16 points to lead hosting Mexico past Jamaica in the opener. Mexico grabbed a 58-29 halftime lead. They sank 59 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Victor Valdes (04) delivered 14 points for the winners. London Johnson (190-G-04) answered with 40 points for Jamaica.
