Puerto Rico cruised past Costa Rica for the second straight win in Group A. Puerto Rico piled up a 44-27 halftime lead. They sank 51 points in the second half and marched to a comfortable win at the end. Jose Ortiz (04) netted 14 points, while Joviel Acevedo (04) and Yaniel Rivera (190-SG-04) added 11 points each for the winners. Andres Mora (176-F-04) answered with 23 points for Costa Rica.
Aruba - Panama 48-108
Panama rallied past Aruba for the first win in Mexicali. Panama opened a comfortable 33-17 lead after ten minutes. They followed with a strong 60-20 second half run to seal the win. Eight players scored in double digits for Panama. Jorge Roca (175-SG-04) netted 15 points for the winners. Kyrian Brooks (04) answered with 18 points for Aruba.
Jamaica - El Salvador 95-78
Jamaica improved at 1-1 record in Group B as they prevailed against El Salvador. Jamaica sank 26 points in the second term to open an 8-point halftime lead. Jamaica stayed red hot offensively in the second half as they poured in 47 points and rallied to the win. London Johnson (190-G-04) tallied 40 points, 10 rebounds, 8 steals and 6 assists for the winning side. Juan Ibarra (194-C-04) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds for El Salvador.
Dominican Republic - Mexico 67-77
Mexico gained the second straight win in Mexicali as the hosts topped Dominican Republic. Mexico grabbed a 51-34 halftime lead. Dominican Republic slowed their opponents down in the second half. They held Mexico to 26 points but came up short at the end. Santiago Camacho came up with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Victor Valdes (04) and Jorge Dominguez (04) notched 15 points each for Mexico. Junior Galicia (180-PG-04) answered with 19 points for Dominican Republic.
