The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Manquehue as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Manquehue defeated 13th ranked Brisas in Santiago 69-60. Manquehue had a 39-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international Fernando Schuler (190-1991) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Mauricio Serrano (-2001) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Cristobal Ordonez (195-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Manquehue (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Liceo PN dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Municipal C.'s 12 and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Liceo PN forced 19 Municipal C. turnovers and outrebounded them 50-31 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liceo PN looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Municipal C.'s players.
