Sergio Ceppi - CDSC 63-67 The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Sergio Ceppi (5-1) in Santiago on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by CDSC (6-0) 67-63. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sergio Ceppi. It was a key game for the top position in the league. CDSC forced 21 Sergio Ceppi turnovers. The former international point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The most important game of round 7 took place in Concepcion between two undefeated teams where Univ.Concepcion beat Frontera (4-1) 88-83 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Frontera. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Univ.Concepcion forced 25 Frontera turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Barbara Cousino (178-1996) who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Forward Jovanka Ljubetic (178-2000) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. They were replaced at the leadership position by CDSC. Frontera will play next round against strong Temuco trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Temuco - Temuco.
