Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most important game of round 7 took place in Concepcion between two undefeated teams where Univ.Concepcion beat Frontera (4-1) 88-83 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Frontera. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Univ.Concepcion forced 25 Frontera turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Barbara Cousino (178-1996) who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Forward Jovanka Ljubetic (178-2000) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side the former international forward Daniela Troncoso (178-1987) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals (made all of her eleven free throws !!!). Undefeated Univ.Concepcion (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Alemana P. Frontera at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Espanol. They were replaced at the leadership position by CDSC. Frontera will play next round against strong Temuco trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Temuco - Temuco. Univ.Concepcion will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Laja. It will be extra interesting game as Laja is their local rival from Concepcion.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sportiva Ita. as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Frontera) loss. Sportiva Ita. smashed bottom-ranked Llolleo in Valparaiso 125-31. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Catalina Roco (164-2006) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Aliosha Hernandez accounted for 20 points and 12 rebounds. Ingrid Carrasco (-1992) came up with 10 points and 8 rebounds for Llolleo in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Llolleo lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Truenos and Laja. Llolleo will play next round against strong Gimnastico trying to get back on the winning streak. Sportiva Ita. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked New Crusaders at Valparaiso.

Austral at home 57-65. Puente Alto outscored Rancagua on the opponent's court 73-19. Winless Luis ML was rolled over Brisas in a home game 32-61.
