The round was exceptionally exciting as four games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Abejas (8-6). They were defeated by fifth ranked Panteras (6-8) 92-85 on Friday night. Panteras looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Abejas' players. Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Panteras' coach Sebastian Ginobili used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Michael Smith (193-95, college: CBU) with 30 points and 5 assists. Panteras moved-up to third place, which they share with Plateros. Abejas at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Astros. They were replaced at the leadership position by Soles. Abejas will play next round against strong Libertadores trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Panteras will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Lenadores in Durango.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Soles as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Soles smashed 5th ranked Halcones UV Xalapa in Mexicali 89-60. International guard Luke Martinez (190-90, college: Wyoming) nailed 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Daniel Amigo accounted for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Omar Boone (196, college: Sul Ross St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for Halcones UV Xalapa in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Soles (9-5) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Halcones UV Xalapa at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Halcones UV Xalapa will play next round against league's leader Fuerza Regia trying to get back on the winning streak. Soles will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Astros at Guadalajara.
Leading Fuerza Regia (8-5) recorded its fifth loss in Fresnillo on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by second ranked Plateros (6-8) 87-84. The best player for the winners was Reyshawn Terry who scored 15 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was OD Anosike who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Fuerza Regia's coach Nicolas Casalanguida rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Plateros went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Panteras. Defending champion Fuerza Regia still keeps top place with five games lost. Plateros will meet league's second-placed Dorados in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will play against Halcones UV Xalapa and hope to secure a win.
