Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was the first loss of Astros (15-1) on the court of seventh ranked Pioneros Los Mochis on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Pioneros Los Mochis 109-104. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Astros. Los Mochis made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Astros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Arnett Moultrie (208-1990, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Jordan Allen (193-1998, college: Lyn) contributed with 22 points for the winners. point guard Trey Burke (183-1992, college: Michigan) answered with 42 points (!!!) for Astros. Astros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Los Mochis (10-10) moved-up to sixth place. Astros at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Los Mochis are looking forward to face higher ranked Frayles (#5) in Guasave in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Astros will play on the road against Culiacan (#10) and are hoping to win this game.

Host Tijuana Zonkeys were defeated by Frayles de Guasave in a tough game in Tijuana 91-97. There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: Toros were beaten by Culiacan on the road 88-74. Los Mochis were destroyed by Astros on its own court 79-108. Culiacan unfortunately lost to Angeles in Ciudad de Mexico 85-88. Toros recorded a loss to Obregon at home 82-90. Bottom-ranked Mazatlan was defeated by Hermosillo on the opponent's court 96-85. Angeles beat Culiacan in a home game 97-88. Obregon won against Toros on the road 99-90. Hermosillo unfortunately lost to Mazatlan on its own court 94-97.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 27 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Clyde Trapp of Mazatlan.




Culiacan - Toros 88-74

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (7-15) beat at home 7th ranked Toros (10-12) 88-74 on Sunday. Culiacan looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Isaac Hamilton (196-1994, college: UCLA) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import Shemarri Allen (193-1999, college: UCF) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures. Chilean point guard Franco Ordenes (181-1992) came up with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Gabriel Giron (192-1988) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Toros in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Culiacan maintains tenth place with 7-15 record. Toros lost third consecutive game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Trey Burke (183-1992, college: Michigan) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (195-1991, college: Lamar, agency: Network Sports International) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side.
