Franca celebrated Paulista League title. They crushed Sao Paulo in the decisive third game of the championship series. Vivo/Franca dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Sao Paulo's 20 and made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard David Jackson (190-1982, college: Penn St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) helped adding 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Vivo/Franca's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Ralfi Ansaloni (211-1987) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Tyrone Curnell (203-1988, college: Valdosta St.) scored 10 points. Five Vivo/Franca and four Sao Paulo players scored in double figures.
