Finally, BCR Limon was promoted to First Division-LSB, but it wasn't an easy job. In fact, ISESA-Grecia triumphed on the road, 79-78, in Game 2 of the Second Division Final Series, and a third game was necessay. Game 3 was played at the Palacio de los Deportes of San Juan, and BCR Limon took the win, 87-77 after staying ahead in the score all game long. We remember that two years ago, BCR Limon hadn' t been relegated to second division on the court, but its officials decided to play in lower division due to financial reasons. Now, the team is back at his deserved level.

Historical team of Limoon defeated ISESA-Grecia, 72-65 on the road in Game 1 of the Costarican Second Division Final Seris on past saturday. Game 2 is scheduled on sunday, Oct. 30 at the Limon home town, the Eddy Bermdez Gymnasium, and in cas of a second win, Limon will be promoted to First Division-LSB, coming back to the top league two years after leaving it. The nucleus of Limon is made of veteran players Herman Robertson (194-G/F-64), Marlon Samuels (188-F-73), Rayner Archer (G) and Enrique Peterkin (195-F-66)

The two finalist teams had defeated in the Clausura Semifinals USJ Arba (Escazu) and Liceo de Costa Rica (Ferreteria Brenes Barva) The first answer to this 'Barva supremacy' came from the Federacin Costarricense de Baloncesto (FECOBA) Council. Some days ago, it decided to abolish the classification of the domestic players in three different categories. This will allow a team to sign an unlimited number of top players, but this allows Ferreteria Brenes Barva too to stregthen its own roster ...
