It is sure now, the 2011 edition of Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB) didn' t start at all. Simply, the Cuban Basketball Federation decided that the National Teams had the priority over the club competitions, and Team Cuba Director and Head Coach Daniel Scott is working over a large group of players starting from February in La Habana, to prepare the FIBA Americas Toournment 2011 in Mar del Plata.
Scott has Argeninean coach Ariel Amarillo as his assistant, together with Leonardo Perez and Antonio Rojas, and the list of the players at the NT camp is as follows:

Experienced Former international Swingman Andy Boffil (190-G/F-82) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Villa Clara and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11. The 34-year old swingman had the game-high 27 points adding three assists for Villa Clara in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Capitalinos (#4, 5-5) 76-75. Third-ranked Capitalinos (5-5) made lots of trouble for leader Villa Clara (11-0) in La Habana on Wednesday. The visitors from Santa Clara managed to secure only one-point victory 76-75. However their fans expected easier game. Capitalinos were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Villa Clara forced 20 Capitalinos turnovers. International Point guard Osmel Oliva (178-PG-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Pinar del Rio, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
