Real Esteli - Brumas 86-70

Real Esteli claimed LSB title. They beat Brumas in the fourth game of the championship series to capture the trophy. Real Esteli outrebounded Brumas 53-32 including a 37-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Brumas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Puerto Rican guard Christian Pizarro (180-95, college: Miami Dade CC) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American-Puerto Rican Melsahn Basabe (201-92, college: Iowa) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Dalton Cacho (200-93) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and Puerto Rican Xavier Zambrana (193-91) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
