Otherwise than previously communicated, the Guatemalan Liga Profesional de Baloncesto won't come back to action in this month, and probably will stay in stand-by for some time more. The reason is a judgement from Federacion de Baloncesto de Guatemala (FBG) that suspended two players (the league MVP Miguel Gonzalez (189-G/F-90) and Pablo Gonzalez (G-89) and charged the LPB officials of illegal activity. It all started when the FBG asked to all the members of the Junior and Senior National teams to ink an official renunciation to play in the 2010-11 edition of LPB, indicated as a 'not authorized activity' by the FBG. This move caused the reaction of some players (the Gonzalez brothers, for example, refused to put their sign on the document), coaches and team officials, that started a legal proceedings they too, vs. FBG, but at this point it is clear that the professional basketball in Guatemala is prevented to restart. The decisive Game 3 ended 103-88, and this time the best player was Juan Jose Rosales (181-G-82), who scored 30 points in losing effort for Club Elite. The best in USAC was Miguel Gonzalez (189-G/F-90) with 28 pts. Gonzalez was also awarded as the Final Series MVP at the end of the game. Thanks to this win, USAC ends the clausura campaign undefeated, with a stunning, 17-0 record.
